What counts as a 'custom' garage door?
Three different things, really: custom size (any opening outside stock widths and heights — common on older homes, RV garages and converted spaces); custom design (configuring panels, glass, colors and hardware beyond the stock lineup); and full custom fabrication (one-off wood or metal designs built to drawings). Most 'custom' projects are the first two — and cost far less than people fear.
My opening is a weird size. Do I need masonry work?
Usually not. Manufacturers build doors to the inch across wide ranges, and modified track configurations handle low headroom, tall openings and offset ceilings. Reframing the opening is the fallback, not the default — we measure first and quote the door-side solution when one exists.
What are faux-wood composite doors?
Doors faced with polymer or fiberglass overlays molded from real wood grain, over (usually insulated) steel cores. They deliver the carriage-house or plank look with paint-warranty-level maintenance — a wash instead of refinishing — which in our sun is a very persuasive argument. From the sidewalk, good composites are nearly indistinguishable from stained wood.
Can you match my HOA's approved style?
Yes — this is a big share of our custom work. We help interpret the architectural guidelines, provide spec sheets and renderings for the approval packet, and configure doors to the approved profile and palette. Summerlin and Henderson communities are familiar territory.
