The pattern behind most emergency calls
Nearly every "sudden" commercial failure announced itself for weeks — noise, slowing, a fraying cable — on a door nobody was assigned to watch. A maintenance program exists to be that assignment.
Five things: door type (roll-up or sectional), approximate size, what failed and what you observed, the operational impact (blocked dock vs. inconvenience), and access details (site contact, hours, dock restrictions). Photos help enormously — a picture of the failure often lets us load the right parts before rolling.
Cycles. A home door runs maybe 1,500 cycles a year; a busy bay door can do that in a month. Springs are cycle-rated consumables, so a spring correctly sized for a house lasts years while an undersized commercial spring dies in months. Part of our repair is checking whether your springs' cycle rating matches your actual usage — and quoting high-cycle springs when it doesn't.
Often, yes — individual slats or slat sections can be replaced when damage is localized (the classic forklift kiss). Widespread curtain damage, seized bearings or a bent barrel changes the math toward larger repair or replacement. We quote what the damage actually requires.
We repair the doors and their operators at dock positions — panels, tracks, springs, seals and operators. For dock levelers and vehicle restraints, ask when you call; where it's outside our scope we'll say so plainly rather than improvise.
